Costco's sells an portable AC unit for about $250. It's the BEST investment ever. Our living room and kitchen is about 400 -500 square feet in size. Our unit cools down both rooms in about 15 minutes. The unit is portable and moves with ease. You just have to set it up near a window so that you can vent out the hot air.
