It was bring your monkey to school day. As I was walking from the education building over to the coffee shop I saw a guy carrying the body of a large paper mache monkey. The girl walking alongside him was carrying the monkey's corresponding head. The girl walked casually with the head tucked under her armpit ... like she was strolling on the beach with a volleyball. Not too long after I saw the decapitated monkey, I saw a different girl who had sewn pink cat ears onto the hoodie of her black sweatshirt. (I am secretly jealous of this crafty idea). I wonder if students in the dorms can keep small pets. I haven't seen any puppies riding in purses on campus but I know it's only a matter of time.
